I founded Burke's in 2014 while living in Mass. I used the customer service obsession that I picked up while working at companies like the Marriott Corporation, as a foundation of my dog business...Hence the doggie butler logo I created (his name is Wags, by the way).
After growing to 16 employees, over 1,000 clients and opening a brick-and-mortar location (while in Mass), I consider myself an expert dog care provider also--you can be assured of that.
I (and all Burke's dog walkers) have been in so many situations over the years out there on the roads and trails, and in the houses, that we have developed a strong skillset for handling dogs of all types in all situations.
But...it's not just about the dog walking specifics...
After sitting with potential clients on hundreds and hundreds of "meet and greets", after receiving 100% 5-star reviews, after getting the notes and cards, after having clients pour out emotion because we took care of their dog like it was our own, after just being there for them when they were struggling with a dog situation, I have learned that IT'S ALL ABOUT YOUR PEACE OF MIND THAT YOUR DOG IS IN GOOD HANDS....Great Communication. Just like I did while down in Mass, I am volunteering in the community here in the Woodstock area. It's in my blood.
Back then it was the Rotary Club, coaching soccer, delivering meals on wheels, and more.
Now, in Vermont, I'm a proud member of the Rotary again, joined a fundraising committee for the library, and am involved in a strong church community.
